Boots No. 7...? has anyone ever tried Boots No. 7 products? If so, what products do you strongly suggest I try...?

vintagelove28 replied: "yh and i really like them! i love the foundations and the mascaras and i mean all of them!!! lol and the lipglosses are also good"

ann n replied: "nope sry"

Boots No.7? hi...i was just going through boots website today and looking at boots own brand No.7 is it a really good brand?...how are the foundation in it? i was thinking to get my mom's friend who is in her 40's no7 quick cover blemish stick and no7 stay perfect foundation..is it good?...can you tell me your experience with this product....is it worth it...she has really nice skin....i want to give her something she should like it from london as she is in canada..one more thing does foundation really stay?Thank you

Holliipop replied: "tbh.. that stuff isnt that good."

jampetpaul replied: "they make the 'protect and perfect' cream that was apparently on Horizon programme as actually working to reverse ageing signs- i'm giving it a go! p.s. ask for a sample!"

finder replied: "I really like the foundation - and go back to buy more. I've used several 'varieties' of No7 foundation over the last 15 or so years - Stay perfect is good - and lasts - light coverage - sees me through the day. Tried others, but always go back - especially when it's on offer!"

Heather G replied: "I seen a new thing on tv its for 40 plust people that gives a glow 2 the skin thinks it called 40 plust"

spoofred replied: "its the only make up i really wear its cheap and hypoallergenic"

sonny replied: "I wouldnt buy it, even the liquid foundations from their range go on very uneven, no matter how much you try. If your friend has good skin then she probably doesnt need it, and a tinted moisteriser will work much better..failing that though the best foundations I think are either Loreal or Maybelline"

OoOomygosh..x replied: "sorry its not a good brand, good prices but not very good make- up.i got the stick for my birth mark because i needed something to cover it up but it didnt work but i have something that does and its cheap.that brand is mememe and its called cool & calm it works for blemishes, birth marks, spots and red-ish skin but you need to put a foundation over it,i use maxfactor seamless.it works really really well. i hope it helped. =]"

*Gigi* replied: "I didn't like them, I tried their foundations & didn't like them.. but they seem to be advertsing for their perfect & protect cream & it's supposed to be good but I haven't tried it. Revlon Colourstay is much better & stays on.. Bourjois do nice foundations, I know it's not from London but they are of good quality. Bobby brown foundations are good, esp. illouminous moisturizing foundation"

Emma L replied: "hey em no7 is good the tinted moisturiser is reil gd but its quiet light i would go for that and mabey some lippy and mascara wud be a nice pressie =] Emz xxxx <3"

angel with wings replied: "hey i use boots no 7 i love the blush the best its great it is good foundation as it is easy to take off and doesnt stick to the skin so it doesnt block the pours i would use it they do alot of research and they know what to do to get the best looks i love that brand....x =)"

Can a 20 years old use Boots No 7 eye cream? Will it be too heavy? Or does Boots No 7 holds eye cream for people of their 20s, if so what kind?

tiny_lil_hottie replied: "you can use any cream you like. they aren't age specific, they are just marketed towards certain age groups. just as long as it is appropriate for your skin type, for instance a person with oily skin wouldn't have good results with a heavy night cream as where a person with dry wouldn't get good results with a water based moisturizer."

Do you believe Boots No 7 serum really gets rid of wrinkles when this is said to be impossible? and does it only work underneath a moisturizer? please don't just say, oh it's very good; does it specifically get rid of wrinkles?

muskan replied: "I have no idea of serum but a natural remedy is Fresh carrot- 2-3(paste) Olive oil / almond oil. Lime juice- 1 tsp Apply on wrinckles and rest for 1/2 hr and then wash face with plain water Aply twice a wk"

the_other_usernames_were_taken replied: "Nothing can get rid of wrinkles, all the creams do is reduce them slightly, but they come back, even botox wears off and wrinkles come back if you dont have continuous injections"

Mumsey replied: "I've used the Protect & Perfect Serum and think it's very very good. You don't need to use anything on top of it. I'm 60+ and really like it. Leaves the skin feeling silky and a little bit goes a long way."

HEATHER M replied: "i am a no7 consultant and i can honestly say it does work, it is the ONLY serum on the market without perscription that helps to minimise fine lines, even out skin tone, help with blemishes and dry skin... it is not just 1 ingredient that does this it is a combination of ingredients together. it can only be used under moisturiser that has a spf of 15 or more and has been tested on thousands of people. young and old can use it as it also helps to prevent fine lines appearing. it takes upto 3 months before you see a difference but most customers i know who have used it see a difference in just weeks. not only that but it makes a difference when applying make-up aswell it helps it to glide on alot better. to the ignorant person below. just thought i would add not all consultants try to sell you there stuff to make money, and me personally i don't get any more than my monthly wage so why would i lie. the reason why the likes of chanel etc are more expensive is because of the perfume and the packaging, plus they all make 2% commision on everything they sell so they have to put the prices up to pay their staff"

susie03 replied: "It reduces the appearance of them, not sure it actually gets rid of them. Loads of other serums do the same thing - it just happened that the Boots one was the one they tested. I prefer the Shiseido or Estee Lauder ones as the Boots one gave me spots. Yes, you are supposed to wear a moisturiser with SPF in it especially during the day."

goldfishyness replied: "i dont think so. first of all, it is physically impossible. it may help you cover the wrinkles temporarily or conceal them, but not actually lift them up. secondly, no offence but boots no7 is not an expensive brand. you know there are thousands of similar stuff from estee lauder---chanel---whatever you name it. im not saying expensive stuff always work, or they work better than less pricy things (ofcourse less pricy things are better alot of times and i love it) lets just say most wrinkle lift stuff are temporary and they are more like concealers. and i dont think you'd be smart listening to a consultant of that brand. im sorry but no offence. lol"

Exotic_Beauty. replied: "In my opinion, i highly doubt that these face creams and serums are actually able to resculpt and redefine the face by plumping it up, getting rid of wrinkles, etc. It may be possible to slow down the onset of wrinkles, but nothing in this world can get rid of them completely."

JobExpert replied: "Creams and moisturizers help, but theres a new serum that reduces wrinkles and makes you look younger. Go to You can get a 30 day free sample to try it out and see if how well it helps. It worked for me."

does Boots No 7 Awakening Eye Gel work for dark circles/bags under eyes? I permanently have really dark bags/circles under my eyes. I am 22 and have really good skin apart from that. I have heard about Boots No 7 Awakening Eye Gel - does anyone know if this works for getting rid of dark circles?

oxoxoxoxox replied: "I'm not sure about the No7 products although Benefit do a great product for demolishing undereye bags, its called Eye Con -its great :) x"

Is there still a shortage of Boots No.7 Protect and Perfect serum in the UK? ...and is it also available at Boots in Ireland?

miss young replied: "no i seen i in boots the other day"

shopperholic replied: "no not at the moment, but would still get in there quick as was advertised on Goks how to look good naked. and from experience when he recommended an Armani powder that sold out for months. I am not sure however if it is avaliable in Ireland but would assume so! good luck"

Lucy W replied: "I don't think so..... but I think there might be soon... it was on "how to look good naked" last night and got rave reviews so i'd go and get it while you can!"

Nath replied: "yes"

Amazingwoo replied: "No - it's still about but *the* cream that every one is raving about right now is Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter. Seriously!! I'm including the link to an article in today's Daily Mail which tests several of the rated face creams (inc Boots P&P serum) - apart from a really dear one, the Waitrose one came out tops. And only about £2.49 a pot too."

gorilla replied: "I'm only a man so what do I know but didn't I see a Daily Mail report today where a Waitrose baby bottom cream produced 10/10 whereas the Boots No 7 only got 7/10? Just a thought in case the Boots stuff was difficult to find. Good luck."

Jude replied: "There isn't at the minute, but the people who did the tests on it and proved it worked have done even more tests and if the results are as good as last time they are expecting more madness, long waiting lists and selling for £100's on ebay again. Stock up while you can! :-) x"

susie03 replied: "No it's well stocked in all branches. It came third (out of 4) in tests on How To Look Good Naked last night, in front of snail gel. I bought it last year after all the hype and it gave me spots."

What happened with the Boots no 7 rush of a couple of years ago? when scientists found Boot's beauty serum to be the first product ever to successfully remove wrinkles, there was a high demand for the product for a while, which then disappeared suddenly......was it found to be a sham?

Halebop replied: "well i noticed they stop stocking a lot of their eye shadows to make room for other brands ..."

Vivienne T replied: "I think they managed to match supply to demand. I haven't heard anything debunking it and I use the Beautifully Clear version of the serum(that's for older skin that ought to know better) and it really does work both to clear and prevent blemishes and to make the skin smoother. Not that I had 'wrinkles' to start with as I only had a few fine lines. The classic Protect an Perfect serum is still available on the No7 stands and it's relatively reasonably priced considering some brands charge upwards of £50 for similar and go to silly prices. I'm very fussy and very sceptical about beauty creams and I buy No7 serums regularly."

Harry R replied: "Perhaps other manufacturers jumped onto the bandwagon, selling stuff claiming to be just as good, but at half the price...placebos to make you smile."

Who designed the Boots No 7 magazine advert with repeating faces? It was being published in women's magazines 2-3 years ago, and featured a line of repeated horizontal faces of one woman. The eyes and lips were exaggerated by their use of colour. It's very similar to a cover designed by herbert bayer for harpers bazaar in 1940 called 'College Fashions'. i wanted to use the piece as a comparison example for a piece of coursework on my graphic design degree. Does anybody remember it?!

Teebone replied: "Need more details."

Who has been using Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect for a while now? I have persevered for 2 months but am going to give up as despite an initial improvement in skin texture my skin is getting really oily and spotty and I'm 42. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Christina K replied: "Hi, I have used it for the same amount of time under Boots rejuvenating day moisturiser and I haven't had that problem. I haven't noticed much change though, so the jury is out on whether or not I will get any more. (I am 41)."

Mathilda replied: "I'm only using it around my eyes twice daily, and under make up as a moisturiser. If I use it at night on my face I get zits."

belgiumbunz replied: "iv been using it for a while and i noticed a slight difference already"

Bren replied: "im just coming to the end of my second bottle and cant say ive noticed much difference. estee lauder idealist skin refinisher although more expensive is better and worth the extra."

Is there any way I can get the Boots No. 7 Protect and Perfect cream in New Zealand? I don't mind if there is a New Zealand website I can buy it off but buying it from a shop is preferred.

Tania C replied: "I found a stuff.co.nz article that said Boots withdrew from the New Zealand market in 2007 A couple of people are selling a product called "Restore and Renew" (which is apparently the same product) on trademe.co.nz - I don't know anything about the product or the sellers, though."
